Solutions for routers not to recognize ADSL modules

After the router is installed with WIC-1ADSL, the port ATM0 cannot be seen in the system. Generally speaking, it is because the IOS version does not support it. For example, C2600-i-mz.122-8 on 2600 will not support it. There will be some error messages at this time, such as 00:00:09: %SYS-2-GETBUF: Bad getbuffer, bytes= 68444513

-Process=  "Init", ipl= 0, pid= 2

-Traceback= 80378168 8081667C 80816568 8041BBC4 8041BDC0 8041C0B8 803142EC 803E9

1C4 If you unplug the card, you will not have this display;

At this time, you can upgrade the IOS, such as flash:c2600-ik8s-mz. It will definitely work;

When you are normal SHOW RUN, you can see similar display below

interface ATM0/0

no ip address

shutdown

no atm ilmi-keepalive

dsl operating-mode auto
