Get a first try with free antivirus software from Microsoft!

After Microsoft released its anti-spyware a few days ago, it struck while the iron was hot and released its long-planned anti-virus software yesterday (January 11). Microsoft has set the antivirus software codename TITAN (Sun God) and plans to release an updated version of the software on the company's monthly security update day (the second Tuesday of each month), even more often. Let me take a look at the first antivirus software launched by Microsoft.

 1. Software file
Software Name: Malicious Software Removal Tool
Software version: V1.0
Software Language: Simplified Chinese
Software type: security-related/antivirus software
Running environment: Windows XP or above
Download address:/SoftWeb/software/firewall/antivirus/20051/

The Malicious Software Removal Tool can detect a few specific and popular malicious programs such as Blaster, Sasser and Mydoom on XP and above systems, and can help delete found infected files. It can be seen that the Malicious Software Removal Tool is a good virus killing tool. I want to believe that with the further update of its virus database, more malicious programs can be removed.

Microsoft antivirus software can be obtained from the following three ways:
1. Downloads provided by Microsoft Download Center
2. Update via Windows Update and Auto Update (must enable)
3. As an ActiveX control, it provides downloads in /malwareremove

 2. Software usage

The author can download the installation file through the Micro Software Download Center. The file is only 260K in size. After the file is downloaded, double-click to run it. At this time, the "End User License Agreement" window pops up (as shown in Figure 1).
